Influenced by Japanese potters, RizuTakahashi and Shozo Michikawa, I have now embarked on a new direction for making my pots. Much of this is by hand-building, particularly by hand carving from solid blocks of clay. I am also experimenting with black chunky stoneware clay. Some of my recent work is illustrated here.
